– Secure your plant containers upright in an open or perforated box with crumpled newspaper and bubble wrap cushioning so it won’t shift in transit. The small holes in the box will allow sufficient sunlight and air for your plants.
– Add stickers of labels -Live Plants or Handle with Care- for the movers to give specialized treatment.
– Ensure all your plants are placed inside an air-conditioned vehicle away from heat and winds that can deteriorate their condition.
After the move :
– Your plants have gone through a shock during the move and once you reach the new premises, it’s important you shower them with care so that they thrive in their new surroundings.
– Unbox and unwrap your plants immediately, sprinkle some water and replant them in places where they’ll enjoy sunlight. You can also add nutrient-rich fertilizers to the soil for faster growth.
– Plants do take a few weeks to acclimatize to their new environment. In the initial weeks they may shed more leaves and appear limp, how ever with proper care they’ll grow new leaves and bloom.
